Volunteer

Allen Public Library offers many ways to get involved.

Friends of the Allen Public Library

Friends of the Allen Public Library is a volunteer-based, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the Allen Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Go to the Friends Facebook page.

If you'd like to support the Library, you can become a Friends member by filing an application card at the Library. Membership requires payment of dues for your preferred membership level.

Allen Public Library Board

The Allen Public Library Board advises Allen City Council and the Allen Public Library Director on matters related to library services. Find more information on board service and applications process on the Boards and Commissions page.

Become a VolunTeen!

The Allen Public Library welcomes the help of VolunTeens with a variety of volunteer opportunities for students ages 13 to 18. VolunTeens are selected twice a year: in April/May for summer positions and in August for school year positions. Find out more
