Donations and community support help us offer programs and services that otherwise would not be possible. Here's how you can get involved!

Need service hours for NHS, NJHS, or Student Council?

You can earn service hours by writing uplifting letters to share with children in the community or by dropping off specific donations for the Allen Community Outreach/Allen Animal Shelter.

Note: Allen Public Library service hours cannot be used towards Community Service Restitution or Teen Court requirements.

Library VolunTeens

Allen Public Library typically accepts teenage volunteer applicants twice per year: in May for summer positions and in August for school year positions. Due to COVID-19 operational changes, the Library VolunTeen program is temporarily suspended.

Friends of the Allen Public Library

The Friends of the Allen Public Library Endowment Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was created to increase the long-term financial strength of the library, enriching its capabilities and expanding its potential for the benefit of all Allen residents. Learn how to join.
