Chaplaincy Program

The Chaplaincy Program exists to assist police officers and the citizens of Allen with death notification, employee/victim counseling, and spiritual guidance. Police chaplains understand the role of a police officer and help build bridges between the police and the community. The Chaplaincy Program operates under the direction of the Office of the Chief of Police.

Chaplain Training

Police chaplains receive training in police regulations, policies and procedures. They continue to gain knowledge and understanding about the Allen Police Department and the community by riding along with patrol officers.

Become a Chaplain

Police chaplains are unpaid volunteers. To find out more about joining the Chaplaincy Program, email Associate Chaplain June Franck.
